Ailsa has a symptomatic cavernoma in her right thalamus which bled in 2015.  Due to the location of her cavernoma, it is currently considered 'inoperable'.  Among other deficits, Ailsa struggles with extreme cognitive fatigue and processing issues, and with undiagnosed absence seizures.

Jade is has multiple cavernomas which were diagnosed at a young age. Jade has had several bleeds over the years and, among other deficits,  Jade has epilepsy.  She is a mother-of-two, and has recently discovered her young daughter has the inherited the gene.
